TERMS OF SERVICE

The rules, exactly as the system enforces them.

Clipping.Zone is a two-sided marketplace: brands (buyers) fund campaigns at a stated rate per 1,000 verified views with a hard budget cap; independent clippers (sellers) cut the brand’s source content, post it on their own accounts, and earn on verified views. Clipping.Zone is the marketplace connecting the two sides — not the brand, not the employer of clippers, and not an advertising agency. These terms describe how that works. Using the site means you accept them.

LAST UPDATED SEP 9, 2026
1 · THE MARKETPLACE
  • Clipping.Zone provides software and (during the pilot) human verification so brands and clippers can transact. It does not create the ads, employ the clippers, or act as the brand.
  • Clippers are independent. You post from accounts you control. You are not an employee, contractor-of-record, or agent of Clipping.Zone or of a brand merely by submitting a clip.
  • Brands (including AI agents acting for a brand) may create campaigns through the site or the public API. No founder email is required to create a draft campaign.
2 · YOUR ACCOUNT
  • Clippers sign in with a magic link to an email — one person per account. Brands may sign in the same way, or authenticate with an API key issued at registration (cz_live_…).
  • The social accounts you submit posts from must be your own. Handles in your profile are how ownership is verified; submitting someone else’s post is grounds for rejection and account removal.
  • You must be old enough to receive payments where you live (and at least 16).
3 · CAMPAIGNS
  • Every campaign states its terms up front: the rate per 1,000 verified views, the total budget cap, the eligible platforms, the brief, and the rules. What you see on the campaign page is the deal between the brand and clippers.
  • Rates are set per campaign by the brand and can differ between campaigns. Clippers earn that posted rate in full.
  • New campaigns start as drafts and are not listed publicly until funded and live. A campaign stops accepting submissions when it ends, when its budget is fully claimed, or when it is closed. Already-verified clips keep everything they’ve earned.
4 · PLATFORM FEE (5% , BRAND-SIDE)
  • Clipping.Zone charges the brand a 5% platform fee on campaign spend (the budget cap). It is not deducted from the clipper-facing rate per 1,000 views.
  • Example: a $10,000 cap at $1.80 / 1K means clippers earn $1.80 per 1,000 verified views, and the brand funds $10,000 + $500 = $10,500. The fee is disclosed on campaign create, on the campaign page, and in the API response (platform_fee_bps).
  • The brand pays that total through Stripe Checkout on the platform account (budget line + disclosed fee line). The campaign goes live when the session is paid. Until Stripe test-mode keys are set, Checkout is blocked — nobody is fake-charged. Clipper cash-out is a Stripe Connect Transfer to an onboarded Express account, or a Stripe payment link sent by the operator if the clipper has not connected.
5 · SUBMISSIONS
  • You submit the URL of your own public post on one of the campaign’s eligible platforms.
  • One campaign per post: submitting locks that URL to that campaign, and the same URL can never be submitted twice. A fresh cut posted as a new URL can always be submitted.
  • Keep the post public while it tracks. Posts that go private or disappear are paused or rejected.
6 · VERIFICATION
  • Every clip is reviewed by a human before it earns — usually within a day. During the pilot that human may be the brand (via the API or brand studio) or the marketplace operator. Verification is at the reviewer’s discretion. There is no automated view-scraping bot.
  • Rejections always carry a reason code (shown on your dashboard verbatim, with how to fix it). Review decisions and reason codes are final for that submission — the remedy is always a fresh post submitted as a new URL.
7 · EARNINGS — THE EXACT MATH
  • Earnings accrue only on verified clips, from the view counts logged (typically daily): floor(views × rate ÷ 1,000), computed in cents. Pending clips haven’t started earning; rejected clips earn nothing.
  • A paused clip (for example, a post that went private) keeps what it has already earned but stops accruing until it’s resumed.
  • Views determined to be artificial — bots, bought views, view manipulation — don’t count, and logged counts can be corrected to remove them.
8 · THE BUDGET CAP
  • Total earnings across all clips in a campaign never exceed the campaign’s budget cap. The cap is the hard ceiling on what the campaign pays clippers, ever.
  • When the remaining budget can’t cover every clip’s raw earnings, clips verified earlier are paid first and later-verified clips receive whatever budget remains. When the cap is fully claimed, further views add nothing.
9 · CASH-OUTS
  • Your available balance is what you’ve earned minus what’s been paid or already requested. Cash-outs start at a $20 minimum available balance.
  • Payouts are fulfilled with a Stripe payment link sent to your account email — the target is within 1–2 business days of your request. A requested payout is committed: it’s deducted from your available balance while it’s processed.
10 · YOUR CONTENT, THEIR SOURCE
  • Your edit is yours. The brand’s source content stays the brand’s — campaigns license it to you for cutting and posting under that campaign’s rules, and the license can end when the campaign does.
  • Follow each campaign’s stated rules (tags, disclosures like #ad, content restrictions). Platform rules and disclosure laws still apply to you as the poster.
11 · FAIR PLAY

Fake views, misrepresenting account ownership, reposting other clippers’ cuts, or gaming verification gets submissions rejected and accounts removed. Amounts earned from manipulated views are removed with the views.

12 · THE PILOT

Clipping.Zone is a founding pilot. The service is provided as-is; we don’t control the platforms your posts live on (a platform removing a post or purging view counts isn’t something we can reverse — though logged earnings stay logged unless views were artificial). These terms can change as the marketplace grows; material changes are announced on this site with a new “last updated” date, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept them.
