What we know about you, in plain language.
Clipping.Zone runs on the minimum data a clipping marketplace needs to verify posts and pay people. This page lists all of it — what we collect, where it lives, who sees it, and how to have it deleted. No legalese where plain words work.
- Your email address — it’s your login (magic links, no passwords) and where payout links arrive.
- Display name and social handles you add to your profile — we use handles to verify that submitted posts are on your accounts.
- Post URLs you submit, and the view counts we log for them while a clip tracks. These are read off the public post pages; we never connect to your social accounts.
- Payout records — amounts, method, status, dates. These are the marketplace’s books.
- Waitlist entries — whatever you type into the clipper waitlist form (email, name, a note).
- Brand profiles — company name, optional contact name and email, and hashed API keys (the plaintext key is shown once and not stored).
That’s the whole list. There’s no analytics or advertising tracking on this site — the only cookies are the essential ones that keep you signed in.
Data is stored in a managed Postgres database at Neon, and the site is served by Vercel. Both act as processors on our behalf; access is restricted by row-level security so signed-in clippers can only ever read their own records, and brands can only read their own campaigns and that campaign’s submissions.
Brands fund a campaign through Stripe Checkout. Clipper cash-outs go to a connected Stripe Express account when you finish onboarding, or as a Stripe payment link sent to your email if you have not connected. Your card or bank details never touch Clipping.Zone — you enter them on Stripe’s pages, under Stripe’s privacy policy. We keep the Checkout session id, payment intent id, and the record that a payout happened. The 5% brand-side platform fee is collected on the brand charge, not taken from clippers.
- Operations staff review submissions and profiles to verify posts and process payouts. Brands may also approve or reject clips on their own campaigns.
- Brands funding a campaign may see that campaign’s performance — including your public post links, handles, and view counts. That’s the marketplace working, and it only ever covers posts you submitted to that brand’s campaign.
- Nothing about you is published on the site itself — no public earnings, no public profiles.
- Sell or rent your data. To anyone. Ever.
- Run ad trackers or third-party analytics on the site.
- Log into, post to, or read anything from your social accounts — we only look at the public posts you submit.
Email support@clipping.zone from your account address and we’ll delete your account and profile data. Payout records are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require — those we anonymize rather than erase. Waitlist entries are deleted on request, instantly.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the change is announced on this site with a new “last updated” date. Questions: support@clipping.zone. The rules of the marketplace itself live in the terms.
